Trustee Board
As a registed charity SWAPS has a Board of trustees. Their role is one of governance. They oversee the organisation, setting the strategic direction and ensuring that we are working with our charitable objectives.

Approval Panel
An independent approval panel is required by regulation. The main role of the panel is to consider proposals to approve prospective Shared Lives providers and to consider proposals to change the status of existing providers.
Our panel members are recruited through advertising and word of mouth and are all completely independent of the scheme. Members are given training on their role and on the skills and attributes they are looking for in a Shared Lives provider.
The main requirement of panel members is that they are non judgemental, able to look at things objectively and fairly and work within agreed structures and processes as part of a team of people.
