This is an active, outgoing family of three adults, one of whom has learning disabilities, who all live in a semi rural residential area just outside of town.
They enjoy doing things at home and often do activities with other learning disabled people in the same area. The family are very keen campers and like to go to their caravan in Cornwall nearly every weekend from April to October. They enjoy all the delights of the seaside when they are there!
Their house is a split level bungalow with three bedrooms (one for the service user), kitchen, bathroom and large lounge/diner on one level. Downstairs is the utility room, office and garage. There are about 10 concrete steps from the sloping drive up to the front door to the side of the house and further steps up to the garden at the back.
The main carer is an experienced nurse and a carer for her daughter. The whole family is looking for someone with mild learning disabilities who is outgoing and who would enjoy the active lifestyle that they have.
