The service user would have a double bedroom on ground floor with bath room adjacent. The bedroom has a double bed, range of fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and a hand wash basin. There is also a lounge and sun lounge opposite the bedroom which a Service User could use as their own if they wished.
The bungalow is in the Barton area of Torquay 2 ½ miles from the town centre, it is on a busy main road and is 100m away from the bus stop with regular buses to St Marychurch, Torquay town and Brixham.

These Providers are very experienced in providing care for people with a learning disability and older people. They live in Torquay and are very close to local amenities such as the harbour, beach, shops, theatre and restaurants. There are also churches, libraries and a museum, the area is lively with frequent community events.
The providers live with their 18 year old son and they have frequent visits from their older children and two young grandchildren. The house has a really warm welcoming atmosphere and it is situated in a cul-de-sac which is quiet however it is up quite a steep hill. Indoors it is spacious with both upstairs and downstairs bedrooms which are all en suite.
There is also a large flat garden with decking, an aviary and a vegetable patch. They have a spaniel dog.

These providers and 2 female service users have a busy schedule which includes keep fit, paddling in the sea, pottery and knitting, keeping up with the soaps and seeing how many coffee mornings they can attend (free refreshments at local churches etc). They enjoy some involvement with the local church and the Salvation Army.
The house is well maintained and cosy there is a stair lift and the environment is wheelchair friendly. There are five bedrooms, some en-suite.
They have rabbits and cats and they hold a monthly social evening for older people. Nearby amenities include the sea, beach, zoo, shops, leisure centres, parks and churches.
