This Provider lives in a large semi-detached house on a main road on the outskirts of Newquay. They live on a main bus route with the beach only a few hundred yards away: in fact some of the rooms have a view of Porth beach. There is a choice of bedrooms all of which are en suite – and one is on the ground floor.

The Provider has a lifetime’s experience in care work and is qualified to NVQ 3 level. Her experience is primarily in care homes and community care for older people, people with dementia and those with physical needs. Her experience and knowledge is such that she would be able to provide care and support to any of the above client group, those with a mild learning disability and younger people who want to learn life skills to be able to live more independently.

This lady and her husband also currently provide a B&B service so any carer, family member or friend would be welcome to utilise this facility while their loved one was in placement with the Provider. There is ample parking at the front of the property and there is a lovely south facing garden with decking area.

The household has one medium sized dog and they would welcome any service user who wanted to bring their own dog with them.

There are two vacancies: one long term and one short term. The short term vacancy is linking in with the new SWAPS dementia respite service in Newquay, although referrals are welcome from any geographical area.

This vacancy is in a very quiet corner of the historic part of St Austell's town centre, The property is a large and beautifully decorated listed building that used to be an old mining captain's house and is complete with large private gardens.

This provider has many years experience with sevice users of all ages and level of care need; with notable experience of young adults (through the Open Door Scheme), older people with various care needs, people with a learning disability and service users with dementia.

The vacancy propbably wouldn't suit anyuone with major mobility issues as all the bedrooms are upstairs The provider lives with her long-term partner and the household is also home to two dogs and several cats.

This provider lives with her husband and their cat in a lovely cottage in a semi-rural location near Redruth. The house has two bedrooms available for service users, one upstairs and one downstairs. There is a large garden with lovely views and is home to a few chickens. 

This vacancy would suit a service user who likes being enabled to learn new skills in order to move on towards semi-independence and who enjoys joining in with their local community.  The provider has a wealth of experience in working with people who have a learning disability.

This property is not suitable for people who use wheelchairs or have a significant physical disability.

This provider has many years of experience within the care profession.  She lives with her husband and son in a beautiful large property just outside Polperro.  As well as the tended gardens to the rear and front of the property, there is a large area of land to the side.

The property is home to 2 cats.

There are bedrooms available both on the ground and first floor.

This provider is very experienced in supporting adults with a learning disability, both in the community and in residential settings. She has undertaken a considerable amount of training and has skills and knowledge in working with people with autism, communication difficulties and health issues such as epilepsy.

She lives with her husband and grown up son in a large bungalow in Illogan Highway. It is tucked away from the main road and has a large garden looking up towards Carn Brea.
They have two rescue dogs – black and white collies – who love attention. The house is bright and spacious and all on one level. It is very close (walking distance) to Morrison’s and the leisure centre which has a large swimming pool. The bus stops for Redruth, Camborne and Truro are a few yards from the house.

This provider could support a wide range of needs but is quite interested in supporting people to develop independent living skills with a view to helping them move on to more independent living. Between them, family members enjoy walking, cycling, squash, running and swimming. Also theatre trips, cinema etc.
 
They have a daughter and baby grand daughter nearby who often pop in to visit.

Long Term or Short Break

This long term and short break vacancy is in a detached house with extensive grounds in a quiet, rural location in Vogue but within easy walking distance of the village of St Day.

The provider has experience of caring for people in her own home, notably in supporting those with physical disabilities as well as some experience in learning disabilities and dementia. The property has various physical disability aids including a wet room. She lives with her husband and son.

Any service user would need to be an animal lover as the household includes 4 dogs, 2 cats, a budgie, chickens and goats.

This provider lives with her husband and three year old daughter and young, female service user in a large 5 bedroomed house in a rural area, near Bodmin.

The property has stables within its grounds and the provider is a trained riding instructor, as well as being a qualified swimming instructor for people with disabilities, She is also very experienced in working with people who have learning disabilities.

The vacancy would suit a female service user who likes animals (horses, dogs, chickens) and enjoys being part of a very active family.
