2008/2009 (April 2008 - March 2009)

The charge we make for a placement is determined by the level of needs of the service user. The needs of the service user will be assessed by the referring agency and this information will be passed to SWAPS during the referral process. This will be matched to our banding levels.

Adult Placement Fees 

Level 1 placement charge: £268 per week

Level 2 placement charge: £295 per week

Level 3 placement charge: £342 per week

Level 4 placement charge: £388 per week

Special Level - negotiated individually where there are additional support needs over and above level 4 due to marked physical or challenging needs. This will be negotiated individually as a result of a specialist assessment but will be a minimum of 20% above the payment at level 4. 

These fees are weekly.  The service user is responsible for meeting all the rent and household costs element of this fee.  If eligible for social care funding, the care and support element may be met by the local authority.  They may impose a charge under Fairer Charging, dependent on a financial assessment.

In addition to the adult placement fees, SWAPS charges a weekly management fee.  If eligible for social care funding this may be funded by the local authority under contract arrangements.  Self funders will be required to pay this fee.

All fees and charges are reviewed on an annual basis and as a minimum will increase in line with inflation on April 1st each year
