SWAPS Shared Lives services offer high quality, personalised support at an affordable pice. For the same or less than the cost of residential care or supported living, the service user can receive a high quality of service, with more opportunity for one to one support, a non institutionalised setting, and a focus on achieving personalised outcomes.

Unlike in a residential care setting, Shared Lives service users are supported by SWAPS to claim a wide range of benefits including housing benefit, enabling them to cover 100% of their rent and household costs and retain a fair amount of disposable income, calculated under Fairer Charging.

SWAPS Shared Lives services can be purchased directly by a service user, family carer or through the local authority, and we are able to work with direct payments and individual budgets.

Current fees

Due to our different contracts and services fees and charges can vary. Currently fees for long term services vary from £202 to £407 and for short breaks from £59 to £89.
