SWAPS is required to register as an Adult Placement Scheme with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). They inspect and monitor SWAPS against the National Minimum Standards and Regulations for Adult Placement.

SWAPS was last inspected in March 2007 and received a "good" rating. The report is available for download at www.csci.gov.uk (click on find a care service report).
