Adult Placement is an alternative and highly flexible form of accommodation and/or care and support provided by ordinary individuals or families in the local community.

Adult Placement providers have to be registered with an adult placement scheme.  The scheme has to be registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and meet the National Minimum standards for Adult Placement Regulation (England) 2004.
