Most people who apply have some experience of supporting people with learning disabilities or mental health problems, either through work or because they have been family carers.
Some of our shared lives providers have no formal experience or qualifications but are really motivated to do something based at home.
A shared lives provider can be single, a couple or a family with children.
All our shared lives providers have one thing in common - a positive and person centred approach to care with the motivation and a committment to build a long term caring relationship with someone in a supportive and willing household.
