This is an experienced shared lives provider and his partner who live on the outskirts of Barnstaple in an excellent location with access to the town facilities by foot and the beauty of the North Devon coast by car. These providers have many years experience of working with people with learning disabilities abd challenging behaviour and are registered to provide care for two long term service users. They share their home with a female service user  and now have a vacany for another service user looking for long term care and support needs.

They all live in a semi-detached home which comprises a kitchen, dining room, lounge and conservatory downstairs and 3 double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There is a large garden to the rear of the property. 

This is a busy household that enjoys their many animals from rabbits to parrots and enjoy walking their dogs in the countryside. They live within commuting distance of Exeter (40 miles) and enjoy an active lifestyle making the most of the natural beauty in Devon. Gardening is high on the agenda and the allotment is used to grow their own vegetables. This is a non smoking household although a service user will be able to smoke in the garden if necessary.

This vacancy would be ideal for someone who is active and would gain a lot from a busy, fun and varying lifestyle. This would be an ideal placement for an active individual who has borderline learning disabilities/mental health needs who can gain a lot from a consistent lifestyle.
